This project was created for the 2021 Creative Conscience awards and was shortlisted by the judges. It was in response to the mental health brief. We decided to focus in on gamers, gamers often use the games they play to escape negative emotions and problems the have faced during their day. The problem with constantly escaping your emotions is that after a while you struggle to recognise and understand them. Gamers are developing a new condition called 'alexithymia' which is the inability to recognise your own emotions. We thought the best way to reach this struggling audience was to go into the games the inhabit.
